Artist Notes: Sunset on Fort Pond is based on photos I took through the windows at the East by Northeast restaurant in Montauk, NY.  I wanted to capture the darkness in contrast with the afterglow.

The painting is part of my "Places I Love In America" series. It is acrylic on canvas, 12 inches high by 16 inches wide, on heavy duty stretchers, with painted sides. A frame is not necessary.

The painting is signed and dated on the back. I send a letter of provenance which increases the value of the work. All my artwork is copyrighted by Eleanor Gilpatrick. Copyright is nontransferable through the purchase of artwork. $500; free shipping in the United States.
